Please care for your mat like it is a natural product, because it is! To maintain the integrity of your natural cork surface please follow these care instructions:

• Always roll cork side out and never fold or crease your mat.

• Never leave your mat in high heat, such as inside your car, this may cause it to distort!

• Minimal cleaning is required but when needed, clean with mild soap, water, and gently rub.

• Do not use lotion on the wet surface, this may cause staining!

• Do not use shoes, heavy weights or sharp objects on the mat. These mats are meant for Yoga, Pilates and mild cardio. Not for weight lifting or cross training.

Learning cork’s incredible properties made the decision to use it on our yoga mats easy. 

Cork is harvested sustainably from the abundant quercus suber tree, it regenerates a layer of cork bark every ten years. Meaning, they are harvested only for their outer layer every decade, allowing the tree to live on and continue producing oxygen, cork, and more for up to 300 years.

Not only is cork a natural and eco-friendly option, it has some qualities worth mentioning. such as being antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal, so you don’t have to worry about bacteria or odour with minimal cleaning. Cork is extremely slip-resistant with moisture, making this the perfect mat for hot yoga, so you can forget about the towel!

Our cork yoga mat is made with premium fine-grain cork, backed by a supportive cushion layer of TPE.
