Please care for your block like it is a natural product, because it is! Cork is not all that durable unless you apply a sealant to protect it, covering up cork’s amazing properties. To maintain the integrity of your natural cork surface please follow these care instructions:

• Minimal cleaning is required but when needed, clean with mild soap, water, and gently rub.

• Apply water for extra grip but do not use lotion on the wet surface, this may cause staining!

• Please try keeping your larger furry friends off the block as their nails may damage the cork.

Learning cork’s incredible properties made the decision to use it on our yoga mats easy. 

Cork is harvested sustainably from the abundant quercus suber tree, it regenerates a layer of cork bark every ten years. Meaning, they are harvested only for their outer layer every decade, allowing the tree to live on and continue producing oxygen, cork, and more for up to 300 years.

Not only is cork a natural and eco-friendly option, it has some qualities worth mentioning. such as being antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal, so you don’t have to worry about bacteria or odour with minimal cleaning. Cork is extremely slip-resistant with moisture, making this the perfect block.
